Cristina Porter
Chiropractic Assistant
Cristina grew up right here in Marshall, where her passion for helping others began while watching her family serve the community through their business, Diehm’s Tire Service. Inspired by both people and her love of weddings, she went on to earn a Business degree with an emphasis in Hospitality Management and spent five years working in wedding and event sales.​ During the COVID years, Cristina transitioned into a remote role with Charles Schwab, which she enjoyed, but she missed the day-to-day connections with her hometown community. When the chance came to join her longtime friend, Dr. Van at Van Chiropractic, she was thrilled to come back to working locally. Now, Cristina loves being part of patients’ journeys and helping people in the town she’s always called home.

In her free time, you'll likely find her lost in a book for her book club or trying out new recipes.

When asked what she enjoys about being part of the VC Team, she said "What makes working here special is the positive, health-focused environment—everyone truly cares about promoting healing and wellness, not just for our patients, but within the team too. It’s a supportive space where collaboration, care, and a little laughter are part of the daily routine."
Julie Rector
Chiropractic Assistant
Julie has called Marshall home since 1998, when her family moved here for her father to open the well-known John Rector Motors. From an early age, she loved connecting with people, first through the dealership and later while working at a local bank. Those experiences gave her a deep appreciation for community and the joy of building lasting relationships.
​Today, Julie is grateful to be part of the Van Chiropractic team, where she gets to welcome patients she’s known much of her life and meet new faces along the way. She loves seeing families grow over tine and helping each person feel at ease the moment they walk in.​
When she’s not at the office, Julie enjoys taking her dog on walks and spending time at home with her family and friends.
